I don't see any players from sub continent (apart from refugee) would be interested in playing for Australia. It is more about the tours here. Would be very lucky to get a tourist/work (which is what you need to tour here) visa with a criminal conviction.

He should be fine to travel everywhere.

There would be a massive uproar if we let him in whilst at the same time denying 100's of others.

Unless you can show me the law or similar cases of this happening, he is fine. There has been no word or mention regarding anything about this in the articles posting about his comeback either and this has been the same since his verdict.

My brother-in-law had a drunk driving a couple of years ago in the US. Had to do some running around but was able to get UK work permit recently.

Imagine if he happens to bowl more no balls than the average in any match after his comeback - there will be big cries of foul play. He will be under fire for seemingly minor mistakes due to his criminal history.

Had to do some running around but was able to get UK work permit recently. There is a difference between having a drink driving charge (which by the way is beyond dumb) and being in prison for 4 years. There is a massive difference. Actually asked someone involved in CA about this yesterday, and they said I was right. Although that being said CA would try their best to allow him to enter the country, as they always have. Could well be a very very strict visa, meaning curfews.
