In a secular democracy everyone has the same rights,no one gets any preference.No one is asking laws that will make minorities second grade citizens like in Pakistan or Nazi Germany. Every Indian must have the same rights,no one needs to be appeased to get their votes. True .How can reverse discrimination be tolerated.

They are also saying that roads are narrower in Muslim areas. I dont see this as appeasement issue, I dont see it as a religious issue but I do see some VERY strong posts on this topic nonetheless. Wouldnt it be the right thing for these people to go to court and get a stay order? May be they are just poor people. I wonder what BJp unit in up is doing. If they care about Hindus they should take this as priority. They just want votes but do nothing.

So from what I understand, no one asked them to convert, they converted just to polarize society and gain sympathy (read blackmail). Sign of times we live in today.
