Currently, only the Nexus 6 supports this plan and it is on an invitation basis only. The pricing is awesome. $20 basic unlimited calls and texts and $10 per GB of data usage. What is even better is that they will refund you for unused data. https://fi.google.com/about/plan/ Check if your zip code is within coverage. Mine did.

I would think the refund on unused bandwidth is something new and unheard of before. Little known Republic Wireless announced something similar 3 days ago. But I don't know which carrier's network they use or it is their own. Google will be using T-Mobile + Sprint's network.

The phone needs to switch seemlessly between T-Mobile (GSM) and Sprint (CDMA). Google designed the Nexus 6 keeping this design aspect in mind. If this gets popular, you might see some more phones added.
