Every time I go to buy chicken' date=' the shopkeeper kills it by cutting its neck or by hitting something hard to its back, right in front of me, peels of the skin and cuts it. I don't feel anything, rather feel happy that am gonna eat it :dontknow: How is killing a rabbit any different :idunno:[/quote'] +1 i love watching animals being killed and cut into pieces which will fill my stomach. Westerners shed fake tears when animals are chained but have no problem eating kilos of meat every month

95 % are non veg... Fish curry is a common delicacy. Chicken comes next. Got a question, I've heard most Hindus are vegs. But surely that doesn't mean you don't eat fish or eggs right? :confusedman:

All Jains are pure veg(no egg, no fish also) but all Hindus sadly aren't veg :(( may be around 30-40% of Hindus. Vegetarianism is purported as an ideal but very few follow the path. A decent proportion of Brahmins, religious groups like ISKCON followers, upper castes,Baniyas are veg. Lower caste people are almost always non veg. Again South Indians, East Indians are predominantly non veg while northern states like UP,Rajasthan,Punjab, Gujarat,MP,Haryana have many veggies. Check out this survey http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/the-food-habits-of-a-nation/article3089973.ece The findings show that only 30 per cent of Indians are pure vegetarians(no eggs). Another nine per cent of the population is `eggetarian,' or vegetarians who eat eggs. Fish is out of the question for the vegetarians in this survey, some may eat products in which egg is present(like pastries, biscuits, mayo etc). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diet_in_Hinduism
