Westerners shed fake tears when animals are chained but have no problem eating kilos of meat every month

Fish curry is a common delicacy. Chicken comes next. Got a question, I've heard most Hindus are vegs. But surely that doesn't mean you don't eat fish or eggs right? :confusedman:

Vegetarianism is purported as an ideal but very few follow the path. A decent proportion of Brahmins, religious groups like ISKCON followers, upper castes,Baniyas are veg. Lower caste people are almost always non veg. Again South Indians, East Indians are predominantly non veg while northern states like UP,Rajasthan,Punjab, Gujarat,MP,Haryana have many veggies.
