Narendra Modi ‏@narendramodi 17h17 hours ago Met 'Baahubali' Prabhas today. CK2FAWtUYAA0No6.jpg The elderly gentleman ( 2nd from left ) is Prabhas's uncle ( father's brother ) Krishnam Raju and a former Telugu hero who himself played a very famous devotee of Shiva role ( Bhakta Kannappa) . He was former MP of BJP. He was the one that moved a motion in the Lok Sabha for the introduction of The Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Bill, 2000. Bhakta-Kannappa-1976.jpg Modiji was requested to watch the movie. Hope he does and tweets about it :two_thumbs_up:

I think Baahubali and BB might end very close in India nett but obviously BB will have higher WW nett because of entire India, Pakistan diaspora
Bajrangi bhaijaan will definitely beat Bahubali India nett. Entertainment tax varies between 30% to 60% in states. Highest is UP ( 60%). Given the huge population and popularity of Salman there and with news that Bajrangi Bhaijaan ET was waived off ( maybe from 2nd week?) - it will play a big part. I always get confused why we should use Nett and not gross though. Gross is the actual money paid by ticket buyers. Nett depends on ET % ( that might keep changing ), waivers, etc. Anyway good times in July for Indian cinema with success of both the BBs

any tax exemption has to be passed onto the end consumer, so they need to be reflected in ticket prices as well

Bajrangi is more than a decent film, so, it is going to last. When films like Kick which were not as good as this did 213 crore, expects Bajrangi to do at least 100 crores more.

^ None of those films would make it to my Top 10 .... This year is not over yet and we may see some more films coming in to the Top 10; and next year, there would be more changes .... The list has become dynamic reflecting the increase in a) number of multiplexes, b) higher ticket prices, c) increase in population, d) increase in middle class (and their disposable income, e) etc.

Overall, globally gross of BB ($68M) has already over taken Bahubali ($66M) PS BB $68M/approx. 2weeks = $34M per week Bahubali $ $66M/approx. 3 weeks = $22M per week

"The film's leading man Prabhas met up with the prime minister at his office in New Delhi on July 26 and urged him to watch the film that has now made close to Rs 400 crores at the ticket window, both in India and abroad." Why would he go to PMO in jeans? :headshake:

Maybe even in Office, friends that visit do so as friends - Krishnam Raju as BJP MP and Union Minister was known to Modi. Also, PM is not a 9-5 job. PM is PM 24 hrs a day. Officials can visit his 'home'. His friends can visit his 'office'. He is not 'off-duty' after 'office' hrs. 289524-salman-modi.jpg This was after Modiji became PM. When he was CM ( which is also a Constitutional position ), cb157c4a-9348-4dc6-8abe-7f81e13d20cbwallpaper1.jpgsalman_modi_650_011414021525.jpgnarendra-modi-salman-khan-during-uttarayan-festival-in-ahmedabad_138976127050.jpg

Salman's being equally dumb to be going in wearing jeans to the CMO

Its a trans-Indian project. Not a bollywood project.
Thanks for supplying dumb definitions :hysterical: Based on your dumb definition ----> it would be fair to suggest that every movie AR Rehman gave music too in Bollywood is not a Bollywood project.... Since Anil Kapoor worked in MI, it was probably a trans-global project .... and yeah, Tamahanh worked in Bahubali so may be it is not a Tollywood only project .... and since Rowdy Rathore was directed by Prabhu Deva, it was also not a Bollywood project ....

You can have a different musician and the project can go on. But you cannot start a project without a story. Is it hard to understand?

Your dumb definition highlights your lack of understanding of the term "Bollywood" and what it represents
