Very low crowds for the "Real Cricket" AKA Test Kirkut in England

England v New Zealand, 2nd Investec Test at Headingley has almost empty stadium with very low crowd turnout. Many stands are entirely empty or just 4-5 people sitting, no noise or atmosphere too, more like a graveyard atmosphere. Atleast in India, even few hundred people create good atmosphere and noise. And they don't have any excuses too, evenly matched sides with good competitive cricket in a format considered as the "Real cricket" by Test Kirkut snobs are resulting in empty stadiums in a country where most consider Test Kirkut as the Real cricket.

You don't see much crowd for tests during weekdays. But i have to say even if you find 100000 fans in England, the atmosphere will still be dull.

This thread is about 2nd Test match, every country has 1 or 2 locations which can be filled but this is about second match in a two-test series, nearly empty stadium for real cricket AKA Test Kirkut in England of all places definitely calls for attention.

Invalid excuse, people in England use umbrellas like any other place and even the first match was rain affected, in contrast here in India people braved rains for hours even for a T20 match, the Test match snobs appear a bit "soft". Besides, most of the match was not rain affected, today is fine, Match is going to produce a result on the fifth day, two decent Test sides with Fast bowlers, bowl swinging a bit unlike the dirty dust bowl of India, everything to like for the "real cricket" AKA Test Kirkut fans.

I don't think any person with a day job can follow the whole Test match. I don't know how without watching the match live people find it enthralling and classy :idunno:

First two days were well attended but Yorkshire folk have to work hard for a living so you're never going to get people there on a work day, unless its the first or second day when people book in advance. Also aside from the rain, the temperatures were just not suitable for watching cricket, even for northern England!
