sourab10forever Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 We are badly in need of a proper T20 finisher.A pollard-russell-miller-maxwell type.Dhoni and jadeja are woefully out of form . considering there form,its like our middle order batsmens are our finishers with rahane as the last recognized batsmen. Who do u think should fit in this role?

Bigg Brother Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Rohit Sharma can be that man..He is useless at the top in t-20 and wastes powerplay.He was not that bad in last t-20 wc but still he can provide some fireworks at the bottom.. If anyone remember the first and second season of ipl where in DC he used to come in the lower order and he had scored useful runs with healthy SR.(specially in 1st season) Uthappa should be tried as opener along with Rahane.

Kalia_Test Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Dhawan/Uthappa ( depending on who is in form at the time of T20 WC) Rahane Kohli Dhoni Raina Rohit One slogger like Yusuf or anyone we find in IPL ( can be Uthappa too if both Dhawan and Uthappa are in form) 4 bowlers Since T20 WC will be in India where bowlers invariably get phainta - we dont need a Jaddu - Rohit and Raina can bowl 4 overs between them ). While fielding, we can somehow replace Dhawan ( not a bad fielder per se but weakest among non-bowlers ) with Jaddu :biggrin:

His slow pathetic batting will compensate for any power hitting and his captaincy :hysterical:. Not convinced with any of our batsmen TBH apart from Kohli, Rohit and Raina in this format. We need to find at least 4 other proper batsmen and remove Dhoni if we are to stand any chance.

Yeah, all these suggestions are just daydreaming as Dhoni will still be in the team as captain, Dhoni and Jadeja should be kicked out from T20 team, anyway this 2016 T20 world Cup loss will be the parting gift from Dhoni and hopefully the limited overs team can then be put on track.
