That's around 50% of all the decent cricketers. Top 5 should be Ponting, Gilchrist, McGrath. Sachin and Kallis. Yes. Other than Ishant Sharma, anybody who managed to play more than 50 tests would be there.

Hoggard was a great wicket taker in the mid 2000's for England 3. Strauss scored runs but it wasn't as strong as others 4. McCullum was average until recently in test cricket 5. Kaneria took a lot of wickets, like a lot. 264 in 61 matches 6. Ganguly averaged less than 40 from 2000-2008 It's a cricketer list. Obviously Ganguly's contributions as a cricketer are much greater than his contributions as a batsman.

But he was a batsman. A batsman who averaged less than 40 from 2000 to 2008. So ergo that's why he was lower than everybody thought.

Australia in Kolkata. Lara at 19 is very wow. I can see why since he only played 6 years but wow.

Kallis was consistent and also with the ball he was a good 4th seamer.
