Thread for anybody with experiences on Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon. It seems viable as there is no need to drive around and shipping fees are dirt cheap compared to US. Pure Indian responses solicited only.

These days PAYTM is offering killer cashback . And yes for most of items you don't need to drive out but if you are fashion conscious then you may want clothes only after trials and this is drawback of online shopping O/W every product is much much cheaper online than what is available offline

Used most sites . Now even grocery shopping is online. Best part shipping is free on most of them if order is over 500. Best experience Amazon , Great product and packing, delivered in 3 days to my city although a little expensive compared to others. But the lightning deals they keep having are fabulous. Flipkart: Next best and also products are cheaper than amazon but inconsistent in delivery. Like once it took 13 days to deliver an item and just 2 days ago i ordered a mouse and received it today. Have ordered items like Galaxy s3 to simple books. Haven't disappointed me except for once. Snapdeal: Bad experience twice once they cancelled my product after 1 week of order and once they sent defective product and customer care said you will have to send it we wont pick it up from you house. Flipkart/amazon offered home pickup. Paytm: Massive discounts/cashbacks but no professionalism. I ordered 2 copies of a same product. I received only 1 . Customer care just kept responding to my mail that tell the problem for 10 days but nothing happened until i called them 'thieves' :giggle: . Then also they didn't deliver the product but refunded my money. Product quality was nothing great too. Use it only for mobile/dth recharge now. Shopclues: Average site. Best is to use flipkart/amazon if product is available. Havent used Ebay yet. The only problem in online shopping is clothes, Twice i ordered wrong size. :giggle:

^^Not for clothes ..definitely ..which very personal and size related. I plan to use for only electronics, groceries, and household items. I don't know why people are crazy about shopping in malls in India. It is gruesome.

Because they feel like they have bought from some high places. :giggle: I live in a small town or outskirts of a town you can say and we have just 1 mall nearby, some people just come and will purchase only a rs 5/10 biscuit and then go . Same thing will be available in samll shop but they will come to mall just to get a feel of it. Also many people have belief that mall will always have better things.

As mentioned by Tiger, PAYTM has blown away the competition with the cashbacks it is providing. If you don't care about a 4-5 day wait to get your product, go for it. Flipkart is a great choice if you need your order immediately, WS Retail products are received in 24-48 hours at no extra cost. Snapdeal provides a great balance. Reasonable prices and delivery time. Amazon for me is a bit under-cooked at the moment. If you are looking to shop for clothes, Myntra and Jabong are great. Orders placed at Myntra reach me the next morning. All Grocery stores have been great, but in Delhi, I use BazaarCart. Great service and orders reach me the same day or the next.

Flipkart - Do most of my shopping through Flipkart. Except clothes, I buy almost everything from Flipkart. Delivery is very good, prices are good too and their customer care is not bad. Best in India by a mile. Snapdeal - Not as good as Flipkart but not so bad either. Reasonable price and deliverhy. Amazon - Horrible. Could not see my orders because somehow two accounts were created for the same email id  Even after cancelling, it will get delivered for COD. Paytm - Never have shopped as I don't trust this site but will try out some cheap product soon.

^^I had a similar opinion of PAYTM, but I have been on a shopping spree there for the last 2 weeks and not a single product disappointed me. They are throwing away cashbacks like I have never seen before. Do give it a go, you will save some serious money.

I buy almost everything online nowadays. Amazon - Has the best packaging. Delivery is prompt. Everything is good, customer service i as good as it gets. I returned a product (Shoes which didn't fit well) without any hassle. For clothes - I used to buy from Myntra but they shut their website down and I don't like shopping in app. I now buy them from Jabong and Koovs. Still bought something recently from Myntra :D Snapdeal - Bought few items from them. But I have not had any bad experiences yet. Flipkart don't deliver to my area. They only deliver books. But the delivery is prompt.

Havent had any bad experiences so far.. Amazon: Best of the lot with good packaging and quick delivery. Also there customer care is good. Snapdeal: Usually cheaper than other two and never had a problem with them so far. Flipkart: Good products, had some delayed delivery issues. Ebay: Usually sells imported products in electronics, sellers ratings are important while buying. i bought my LED from ebay , saved 20K for imported product. Shopclues.infibeam - No idea. Although shopclues returned my money ( 30K + ) without any hassles when I cancelled the order.
