Munis despite his raw pace exceeding 145kms, was continuously ignored by selectors in Madhya Pradesh and BCCI. Recently he was offered a contract by Oman’s national T-20 side for representing them at T-20 world cup qualifiers. Munis had scalped three wickets for only 23 runs for Oman against Namibia in a crucial qualifier at Scotland. Ansari had completely stemmed the flow of runs with his speedy deliveries and helped his side in restricting Namibia for 148 runs. Oman in reply, achieved the modest target in 19th over while losing 5 only wickets. With this win, Oman also qualified for T-20 world cup to be held next year in India. Ignored by selectors in India, Sehore pacer helps Oman qualify for T-20 World Cup For obvious reasons, Oman’s victory triggered celebrations in Ansari’s hometown Sehore in Madhya Pradesh. Known as Sehore Express in local cricketing circles, Ansari had claimed ten wickets in a practice match recently and had burst into limelight. Talking to News18, Munis’s brother Yunus claimed that the family was feeling proud on junior Ansari’s achievement. He however added that everyone in his family laments that despite darting deliveries with a speed of 145km, he was constantly ignored and was formed to play for Oman. However cricketing fraternity remained oblivious to Ansari’s success as much as they did when he was struggling for recognition at domestic level. “I haven’t heard about any cricketer with this name. I can only make any comment once I get into details,†Milind Kanamdikar, secretary MP Cricket Association told News18 when asked about Ansari’s overseas success. According to cricket expert Mahavir Arya, Ansari’s abilities could be understood from the fact that he had one bowled players like master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Andrew Flintoff. Cricketing stars including Wasim Akram and Ajay Jadeja have lauded him while Wall of Indian Cricket Rahul Dravid was also impressed with his pace. An unknown commodity, Ansari had shot to fame after he had participated in speed star contest. He had bowled the champion spinner Harbhajan Singh in the first ball, broke his bat in two in the second delivery while the willow slipped from Singh’s hands with the brut force which the Ansari was bowling with. However the road to fame for Ansari was very tough as he was born in financially weak family and his father used to work as junk dealer. Ansari even had assisted in his work foe some time in his bad phase. Ansari soon started getting to play in other countries on contracts extended by various companies engaged in gulf. He played one warmup one day game against England in 2006 if I remember correctly. He has a round arm action. Yes, February 20, 2006, he clean bowled Flintoff in that game. By all accounts he had pace, also what a waste Kamran Khan if groomed properly could be a good odi n t20 Bowler in the least, looks like BCCI n selectors will never learn, all nations even SL n Pakistan r better in identifying n grooming talent

Tbh I have nothing against him or his family but his action looks dodgy so if he was playing in India I think he would have been reported and therefore it would have ended his career

31 year old on paper but looks way older than that.It is not easy for Desis to get nationality from GCC.I am an Emirati national and it's not easy for Asians to get nationality here
