fineleg
Vandort out, SL 38-1 Not the best of decisions, frankly. Poor old Vandort trudges off and there's England's breakthrough 10.1 Sidebottom to Vandort, OUT, a huge appeal from Sidebottom as Vandort is rapped on the pads. Rauf, the umpire, has a long look at it - and he's given him! Good grief he took his time, and it looked to be spearing down the leg side. And it looked to be a bit high, too. Link to comment
fineleg
*Rauf the Oaf* starts off with a poor decision. WE NEED TECHNOLOGY! for decisions! Link to comment
Ram
Not the best of shots, frankly. Poor old Rauf had no option but to give Vandort out and he trudges off and there's England's breakthrough 10.1 Sidebottom to Vandort, OUT, a huge appeal from Sidebottom as Vandort misses the ball and is rapped on the pads. Rauf, the umpire, has a long look at it - and he's given him! Good grief he took his time, and it looked to be spearing down the leg side. And it looked to be a bit high, too. *Van The Man* starts off the test match badly. We need technology for batsman, lets replace all batsman with robots that never miss the ball ! Link to comment
fineleg
Right. If players play badly and get out thats not an issue. The issue is when wrong decisions are given, which a second later is shown as wrong by TV replays. That is insane if technology cannot be used to assist in challenging or consulting for a decision. Dhondy
And another! Harmison pitches outside the leg, and gets Tharanga LBW. Umpires are murdering Test cricket. Is this oaf officiating in the Aus-Ind series? Link to comment
fineleg
MM will be on high moon now! Oh, the glory of the game, the uncertainties, the tension  Harmison to Tharanga, OUT, he's gone! Tharanga's rapped on the pads, Rauf takes his time - and up goes the finger. That would have hit the top of the off stump, though replays show the ball pitched outside the leg stump. A dodgy decision, again, but very well bowled by Harmison WU Tharanga lbw b Harmison 16 (42b 2x4 0x6) SR: 38.09 Link to comment
Ram
At the least we MUST relieve the umps of watching out for overstepping no balls. If we do that, I have no doubt that we will see a dramatic drop in the number of errors in LBW decisions. Link to comment

MundaPakistani
2 decisions that could have gone in favor of Lanka. Good to see things evening out because ENG have been a touch unlucky in this series. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
That's ridiculous. Umpiring decisions don't even out, they just keep adding up. Link to comment

Chandan
Nobody discussed this match today? Lanka is in a strong position right now with Jayawardane unbeaten on 149 and total being 384/6 at the end of Day 2. So two days have gone and not even the first inning is completed here? Are we going to have a result in this match? Link to comment
sm332
very unlikely unless Poms try to force the pace when batting and collapse as a result of it. Link to comment
