Gollum Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Credit where due. Good job Pakistan SC even though I doubt this will be carried out by concerned authorities. gs Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 A place of worship for the idol worshippers in the land of the pure?!?
zen Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 When Pakistan was formed it was supposed to offer equal rights to people of all religions. However, it appears as if it changed its policy quickly in 1949 On 12 March 1949, the second constituent assembly of Pakistan passed the Objectives Resolution which was proposed by the first Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan, proclaimed that the future constitution of Pakistan would not be modeled entirely on a European pattern, but on the ideology and democratic faith of Islam. Promulgation of Constitution in 1956 lead to Pakistan declaring itself Islamic republic (official name) with the adoption of parliamentary democratic system of government. Wiki Link People of other religion are likely to feel betrayed so more needs to be done in Pakistan as far religious equality is concerned
