A batsman who is considered among the top 5 openers in ODIs in world cricket..who is in form..and consider himself to be the part of Big 3 ( Sachin, Dravid and Kumble )...is not willing to open In test cricket ... It must be hurting his self esteem that he is not considered to have a technique to succeed as opener in test cricket... why doesn't he take this as challenge to improve his technique so that he can open in tst cricket..and provide a balance to the middle order in the interest of the team.. Its really sad to see players hiding behind The Great Wall whenever there is an obstacle to fend.. What will we do when the wall retire ..who would they approach for remedial ... Ohh Dravid...The Ultimate Team Man...The Real Hero...The Real Warrior... Players like Ganguly..VVS..Yuvi..should wash your feet and drink the water..so that they too can get some of your qualities..

Greg Chappell suggested Ganguly to Open in Zimbabwe and Ganguly denied and got dropped.... That is the only instance Ganguly was asked to open I recall OP is not in good taste

Ganguly was willing to open in the deciding Karachi test during the Ind Pak Series. But Dravid choose to open.
