Cricketics Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) So reward points are now a big thing and whenever one applies for a credit card, they ensure they have a card which offers decent points.What do you guys feel is the best card out there for reward points? Which ones you guys use mostly? What are some of the cards in India? It will be nice to hear how popular reward points system is among Indian Credit Cards. I use American Express and have recently started doing most of my purchases through my Starwood Card(SPG). Amex Rewards points are great and you earn them well and use it easily on hotels and flights. On every dollar I am earning 2 or 3 points, so that helps. With Starwoods Reward card, even though there is an annual fee, Star Points are the most valuable points out there since they can be converted to plenty of airlines etc. Also having SPG cards helps you at lot of sports events as they have lot of stuff for SPG members. Kalia_Test Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) I found Payback reasonable. ICICI CC usage gets rewards that get transferred to Payback( earlier called imint). You can purchase items in many online stores using payback points. You can also tie up tour Airtel broadband, mobile to payback and they will earn points too.I have used payback points to purchase items like mobile batteries, memory cards,etc. Works on eBay, Naaptol and quite a few other online stores. sandeep Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I have Amex and Chase Sapphire preferred. Amex charges taxes & fees when you transfer to airlines - its not a huge amount but it adds up if you are doing big chunks. Chase is more cost effective in some ways, but I love Amex Gold's warranty extension coverage etc - they have brilliant customer service with that as well.

kruiser Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I traveled US to India and back for a family of 4 in business class using only miles - converted from credit card points.Chase Sapphire and freedom is a very good combination for earning points and deriving the maximum value from them. But the real accumulation is when you avail of new card bonus offers. Look at flyer talk and million mile secret forums for detailed info.Amex works best for warranty and purchase protection.
