Dravid now has 159 catches in 116 Tests! Mark Waugh leads with 181 catches. While that maybe a tall order he surely can get to 2nd all time position. Lara currently occupies it with 164 catches in 132 tests. Dravid may never get merit as one of the best fielders India produced but he has been a very safe fielder for us over the years.

Yeah, I've been keeping a quite watch on that number. I don't think 181 is out of range. India are playing 20+ tests in the next 15 months and if he can keep his spot he is in with a good chance to overtake Waugh.

Been busy with real life finey... I wpould call RD a very safe catcher and an average fielder....:P

He's been a good slip fielder, but he's dropped more dollies than any great catcher would do. Quite average fielder elsewhere.
