Cricketics Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 just love this word Taash.. those who don't know.. its another word for "Cards" what a bloody classic word - "Taash" okay, so i created this thread as i was just playing this card game with my mates here.. game is coat piece.. i played this game today after about 6-7 years.. it was fun.. brought back some great memories.. carrom and this coat piece was a regular fixture @ variouz places where i group used to meet... anyone remember this game?? any other great Indian Card games u like? anyone remember this game called - Teen, Do, Paanch, its similar to Coat Piece great memories..

The game we play is called -- "Dehla Pakad".....basically it's played with 4 people, sitting together, with two person in a team. Whichever team gets, more "dehla" (out of 4 dehla you need to get 3) , will pass the "daav" or "daani" to next team for "pisaai" or "ghisai" (all these are Bhojpuri lingo) There is "rang" which is important in the game, for example "Laal" Pan ka rang, "Chidi ka rang" etc. Rang is decided with initial distribution of 5 cards to each player and then conducting the play.. (there are ample chances of cheating and luck in "dehla" pakad- game--thoroughly enjoable).:two_thumbs_up:
Lurker Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Taash rocks!!! One of the best part of the College days. We would spend hours playing taash. Man is it addictive or what? Countless nights have been spent just playing cards. I suppose this was one of those things that saved me from falling in love left right and center in college. My personal favorite was 29. Rang banana, pair nikaalna, double-redouble-ditto-last hand...Wah wah! Priceless memory

I have played through out nights, breaking even or winning 200-300 $s. Rarely lost. Back in school, we used to play a game called 'black queen'. I don't remember any rules now. Anybody knows anything about that card game.
Rajiv Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Rummy - 13 cards, 21 and now 27 Teen Patti which is called FLUSH Other than that, never played other games ---- Coffee, me too I have dumped $500 bets to cover my ass in the casino, I quit all that BS long time ago Now I goto the casino which is like 3 mins way, take $200..play for 2-3 hr with min bets, have few drinks and come back with even money I have a theory, if u goto the casino to gamble , u will loose..go with an open mind, you will be rewarded
chamatkar Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 I've played my fair share with family (you'll never find a better set of cheaters) and with friends (sitting on the platform of train stations through the night in the cold and playing cards all night, sipping chai). Dunno if anyone has played 29 (it's a different form of bridge, not so 'propah') and then a variant of 29 for 6 people called 56.
