fineleg Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Umpiring blunders, Symmo and Hogg plunders together wrecks India's day-1. 1. Can our bowlers fight on Day-2? 2. Will our "paper tiger" batsmen show how they can bat like real cornered tigers? Will this happen day-2? Predictions for day-2?
Dooks Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 1. Just about - my guess they will get 425+ unless umpires intervine. 2. Yes but at least one will be Bucknored. I would like to see how many decisions we get in our favour. Day 2 prediction: Aus 434 Ind 143 - 2. Being very optimistic here.
King Tendulkar Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 We can beat the aussies no probs. But we cant fight the cheating umpires
Anakin Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 We can beat the aussies no probs. But we cant fight the cheating umpires Ssshhhh, that's the beauty of the game for few and another retard will point at the only thing he knows about cricket, the score card.
jai_brooklyn Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 We will need a good partnership in the top 4 to save this one.
SachDan Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Has to get out Australia below 420. go with a positive mind set and reach atleast 225/2 by close ...hopefully with God and Dravid at the crease.
jai_brooklyn Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 :haha: and hoping bucknor does not change his glasses!!
Anakin Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 In case you guys are still dreaming, wake up. Umps will make up for their mistakes during ind batting.
jai_brooklyn Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 In case you guys are still dreaming' date=' wake up. Umps will make up for their mistakes during ind batting.[/quote'] Let's hope it goes India's way. I'll go ballistic if a settled indian batsman is given out incorrectly.:((

I'll go ballistic if a settled indian batsman is given out incorrectly.:((Come on, if they are consistent, which they are according to many, they'll make up for refusing the fielding side denying wkts when Ind bats :two_thumbs_up:

Now, can you please pass along the thing you are smoking??
Anakin Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 You are an optimist Anakin and I like that. Now' date=' can you please pass along the thing you are smoking??[/quote'] Probably missed the point, but that's fine.
riya Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 When u play such a superior team like Australia ,a lot depends on the mental make up .Right now we are done and lost it completely .:((
The Outsider Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 I don't see us getting past 300 on this wicket. Hopefully, Tendulkar and Laxman continue their love affair with Sydney (not Lara's daughter) and make a big one tomorrow.
beetle Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 We will do well.By well..I don't mean win...but we will atleast draw.
The Outsider Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 We will do well.By well..I don't mean win...but we will atleast draw. I think the pace of the Australian innings has taken the draw out of the equation unless it rains. Runs will come fast on this track throughout the match. Lightening quick outfield, nice carry on the pitch, but there is enough for bowlers to keep on taking wickets as well. India will have the best batting conditions tomorrow, but will be handicapped by a 40/2 after 20 overs start again.
Ram Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 We will do well.By well..I don't mean win...but we will atleast draw. Draw, in Aus ? Forget it.
