Cricketics Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 What are your plans? Going out with friends or family? Spending time at home watching tv shows? Having family over and cooking something special? For me, since I am not in India, the best time of the year is this month of December. I am sure it feels the same to you guys in India during Diwali, in the month of October or to many during Eid or other religious festivals. There is this whole Christmas vibe here already in U.S and people are in great festive mood. Weather at work or outside, you will see lights, christmas trees, Christmas songs being played, or other decorations. It kicked off during the ThanksGiving day weekend, which is basically the last thurdsay of November. I am, I think after a very long time, not planning to do anything this year. Will just sit through Christmas at home and even New Years and enjoy some good home cooked food with family along with some nice dishes from any good local restaurant and watch tv. Might have some other family members also come over to our house and join us as we gulp the delicacies during the "Best time of the year." So what's your "scene"
MechEng Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Nothing much, during Christmas I would generally buy those plum cakes which are exclusively available during Christmas season only. Bandra suburb has plenty of Christians, so I would frequently visit Bandra during Christmas season. There is also an annual food festival in Bandra during Christmas season where traditional Christmas foods are served, I haven't ever been to this festival but will try this time. New year ka bhi koi bada scene nahin hain, would prefer to spend time with family and eat good food. Cricketics 1

I wonder if Goa has probably the best Christmas celebrations in India with the amount of Christians there, in particular Catholics.
