maniac Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) Bangladeshi batsman has a test average of nearly 52.00 after 20 tests and nearly 1600 runs. Initially I thought it was a case of Zimbabwe bashing as Bangladesh play often with them, but has a health average against most teams Is he any good? Cricketics Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 He is a pretty good player. Another short height player who makes it look really easy. Yesterday he was playing Boult and Southee with great eas. Probabaly a better version of Parthiv Patel. tweaker and sandeep 2
Kriterion Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 He has mental toughness and an attitude that his 50 average isn't anything to be proud of yet. I became a fan of his after his 3rd innings unbeaten 131* vs NZ which he scored with a fever while also battling dyspnea. Saved the match and the series for Bangladesh. His technique and temperament today on a greentop vs 50 kph winds proved he has the ability to play in overseas conditions as well. Just needs to kick on and score a century away from home.

Interesting, did not know about the fever part. Hence the reason why Bangladesh have a pretty decent batting line up. I mean such line ups can collapse too but they have some decent players now who don't change every game. Tamim, Mushfiqur and Saqib are regulars along with players like Mominul and Kayes is a pretty decent line up. Probably better test line up than Pakistan and Sri Lanka at the moment.
