Malcolm Merlyn Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 He may be a very good test match batsman but he has no place in Indian LOI team.Extremely avg LOI player. 72 ODI matches avgs 32 and SR 78.ust doesnt make the cut.God knows why he is selected. mancalledsting and SecondSlip 2
BeautifulGame Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I have been saying this for a long.He simply good enough for ODIs. Selecting him in the ODIs not only hampers our ODI team but also the test team as his failures in odis affects his form in tests. Its just the result of clueless selectors who cant differentiate performances between different formats mancalledsting 1

narenpande1 Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 And there is no place for KL Rahul too in the ODI side. Rahane can be excused of being out of form. KL rahul is not made for ODI cricket. The kind of lottery batsman he is, he does not deserve to be in the test side either. Murali Vijay and Tailunt should be our best openers. It's a shame because tailunt is also shite against the swinging ball and raw pace.

BeautifulGame Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Rohit and Dhawan should be our openers for Champions trophy unless someone like Pant breaks through in IPL
Sidhoni Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 We still need him in England, as backup if not in the 11

express bowling Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Pant needs to be tried ASAP. On his day, he will take the game away If you don't have consistent batsmen it is better to have really high SR ones.

Should be Pandey Edited January 22, 2017 by BeautifulGame
Sidhoni Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 He isnt good enough to be even our 3rd back up. Better than Rahul in those conditions at least. Actually on potential if the ball swings he is better than Rohit too but his mindset is problematic.
GautiMaan Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 List of openers better than Rahane New ones Mayank Agarwal Rishab Pant Mandeep SIngh Older ones Gambhir Uthappa
