diga
Another right wing victory.. this time in Brazil. The president elect even had this statement Quote We cannot continue flirting with socialism, communism, populism and leftist extremism ... We are going to change the destiny of Brazil,” Bolsonaro said in an acceptance address, promising to root out graft and stem a tide of violent crime Lot of right wing govts in the recent past.. Modi/Trump/Austria. Generally right wing grows during economic crisis/depression years? Are we in one? diga
a simple answer in quora .. makes sense as to how the right wing populism is on the rise Quote The left in their attempt to empower or appease the minority communities have snubbed off the majority community of their respective countries. Trump & Brexit: Problems of the white people < <<<<Problems of lgbt, black or other minorities. Modi: Problems of 'intellectuals' Muslims and other minorities >>>>>>> Problems of Hindus. Should the problems of minorities be given preference over the majority? - Definitely Yes Does that mean only concentrate on the minorities problems and while solving their issues screw over and snub off the majority? - Definitely No P.S. I am not intending to say that you should only focus only on majority and screw over the minorities. Just saying that try solving all of them. Sachinism
Sadly, the majority tend to feel like victims when they don't receive preferential treatments and stepping stones UrmiSinhaRay
Moochad
My 2 paisa 1) India shouldn't be seen in a right-left paradigm, that is a construct of the French Revolution, and it has no applicaiton to our civilization. 2) It is partly a response to minorityism around the world. Only pseudo-libtards can simultaneously promote "equality" and concepts like affirmative action/reservations with a straight face. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. 3) Really there was never a 'liberal' consensus. Liberals are a micro-minority of any country. There is a reason left wing, so-called liberal parties always tie up with right wing minority groups Ie in India where supposedly liberal congress ties up with right wing Christian and Muslim groups. Saale, you give Muslims/Christians preferential rights/laws in India, and wonder why a so-called right wing grows or EU where they banned criticism of Mohammad, and the left parties/liberals are either quiet or will support it by saying that racist speech isn't free speech. 4) Waise, the Western right wing was fighting with one hand tied behind their back. The left parties always indulge in both identity politics and populism (welfarism is populism by another name), but now the gora right wing will also do identity politics and populism. Right wing populism > left wing populism in electoral prospects in most countries. Shunya, someone and diga
