Jimmy Cliff
Wonderful footage from West Indies' 1966-67 tour of India featuring the great Sir Garfield Sobers in his prime delivering with bat and ball in front of jam-packed stadiums. Also features a young Rohan Kanhai falling over while playing a sweep, cavalier batting by Kunderan and Engineer who almost scores a hundred before lunch, Hall and Griffith looking menacing with the ball along with some gritty knocks by the Indian middle order. I think I also spotted Waheeda Rehman in the crowd . Cricketics, maniac, Straight Drive and 6 others 9 Link to comment
Straight Drive
Some legendary players playing in that series. Jimmy Cliff 1 Link to comment
Straight Drive
Good initiative. I will do the 1971 series. The first overseas tour I followed. Other aged posters can cover up those series one by one. Kind of flashback. Will be great to rewind and recall those wonderful years of watching the many legends that game of cricket produced. Straight Drive
Given that they both were not aprt of 1971 series against India, i assume this was the last series Wes Hall and Charlie Griffit played against us. I missed watching both of them in action. Link to comment
