putrevus
Simon doul was very concerned about his technique, he is saying he is moving away from the ball.He was bowlers will target his weakness and he has shown no improvement. That is very damning statement about him.Gill looked good today and he too is an opener.Suddenly we have too many top order players with Rahul in the mix and no middle order batsmen. rkt.india
Shaw's back log goes towards leg side instead of going back and across. Sehwag had this issues as well IIRC.

Pretty much sehwasque shots and sehwasque dismissal. But there is a shade of Uthappa when he gets into awkward feet position when he tries to play through on side. vvvslaxman
Gill once he overcomes his nervous energy he will be breathtaking to watch. Kohli, Karthik, Alan wilkins, Bishop pretty much anyone has ever seen him rate him a notch above every other player.

That is making Shaw lose his balance and cramping him for room.I liked his analysis.
vvvslaxman
Shaw's tendency to follow the ball could turn out to be an achilles hill like it was for many Indian openers of the past. He quickly has to address this by leaving out good balls.
