Gambit
Whatever you do, do not make a pitch that makes the crappy Indian bowling look decent. Indian batting will more often than not perform even on difficult tracks but Indian bowling needs tracks with juice and that is what these fools provided India with today. Big mistake RSA. MundaPakistani
Spot on Gambit! Considering how well Sreesanth bowled in SA and how RP bowled in ENG you would have thought that SA would have respected the Indian attack. Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
Why didn't they at least settle for fixing the run-rate Link to comment
yoda
Why didn't they at least settle for fixing the run-rate they did and fell short. :haha: Link to comment
yoda
i would say it made our "average bowling look deadly". Link to comment
zubinpepsi
i hope they keep the same pitch for the semis Link to comment

Why didn't they learn after whatever happened at Jo'berg last year?? Give a lively pitch to our bowlers and they become deadly. It happened throughout the English summer where the condition suited them but they were ineffective as soon as flat tracks were dished out for the ODI matches!! Day before, on a flat track, they had almost failed, defending a score of 218 in 20 overs!! And why did SA need to have a helpful track for their bowlers?? Their batsmen could chase any score posted by the opposition. Why didn't they have faith in their batters?? You're absolutely right Gambit--SA shot themselves in the foot!! Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Produce a seamer track and our bolwers win us the game. Produce a flat track and our batters smah their attack all over the park like we did to england. Basically what ever track they give we win. Basically we have the better players and the better team! King
I guess you've forgotten the bowling exploits of the Indian bowlers since the last year Gambit? Indian faster bowlers since the last test in WI that India has won have surprised everyone. Irrespective of who's been in the team Indian bowlers have done very well in bowler friendly conditions. So much so that they caught Saffies and the Poms unaware in the test series' In fact Lara was on record in the WI away series claiming he wasn't worried about Sreesanths, Pathans and the rest. We all know what happened in the last test in the away series in WI. I don't know if you were sarcastic in your first post but "crappy bowling", definitely not. You could say crappy batting but you cannot blame the bowlers. They have done wonderfully well in alien conditions. Link to comment
