I remember reading Asterix comics, where Ceaser is making fun of his fat Generals who were sitting and eating the whole time, he said when they were young strong men they were winning wars for me, now that they have money from their plunders.... I think it will be from our Villages the next India players will come, they will be willing to do the hard yards needed.

He can swing just enough to get wickets like Bumrah, like the Pakistani greats, not like Manoj Prabhakar who used to swing 90 degrees the new ball the batsmen just used to wait for it to stop and hit him when the ball got old. Swing is for wickets not to show off. I remember watching Terry Alderman on video...

Mukesh is a very good bowler, just bowling fast is not enough.. you can't compare any one with Bumrah ... India is lucky to have him .. but they need to treat the other bowlers well ..

I think the captains should use Mayank as the enforcer, the few overs extreme pace, probably for new batsmen at the crease, until they are sure his body will support his pace.

Mayank Yadav is too fast :-(, like all Indian express bowlers, going for boundaries behind the wicket, i really think we should get back some of slow medium pacers .. Sandeep Sharma??

I am sure there are many hidden gems in India, many from villages and lower middle class who have the body , fast twitches or whatever to bowl fast. I remember many many years ago when I was studying bachelors in Bangalore, it was during the khalistan problem, the punjabi business men were sending their sons to Bangalore to study and hopefully start a new business down south, these youngsters used to bowl extremely fast, we had some bowlers then who played for the Karnataka team, but these you g Punjabi used to outbowl them easily. But they were more interested in building a business and running around with girls rather than serious cricket. The point i am making is these big made Punjabi boys did not see cricket as a profession, they had money already. Now with ipl and tv, there are many youngsters who will know cricket can be more lucrative than even business. In USA the basket ball scene is dominated by african american disadvantaged youths who want to be the next Micheal Jackson. If the selectors are good, India will be dominating with no competition for the coming decades, let's see ..

I remember Virender Sehwag said it was easy to play Haywards because all he could do was bowl fast, one dimensional. There was a left armer at the same time from SA who was fast and very dangerous.

His action is so smooth and silky. I am sure he has done the hard yards. I think he is still single? I am sure he has enough to retire happily, it's just his determination and drive that still wants to tell Agarkar, i am better than these youngsters you are choosing... this experience should be used to give the finishing touches to youngsters from A and B team who wants to represent India. He should not be a coach, a strategist or a team manager, that would dilute the experience and help he can give to Indian fast bowlers. I think he can do that, after all Indian cricket gave him fame and money, granted with his hard work...like Bharat Arun...he can still contribute to India wins ..
