If Kartik and Sehwag replace them and Dravid is made to play #6, I think we can do better or we can't do worse with the new players in. Link to comment
cric-online
I reckon Yuvraj and Jaffer should go, bring in Sehwaq and D. Kartik if not kartik, then at least Sehwaq. Cause atm there isn't anything to look forward to in watching the opening stand of the Indian Innings. You've basically got two openers trying to defend their way to victory. With Dravid, i can understand becasue he actually makes runss. With Jaffer, i cannot understand, he takes 20-30+ balls, makes the odd run/boundary and then gets out. hE WAS GIVEN A chance in the 2nd test but still couln't perform. To add to this poor batting form, Yuvraj Singh. He failed in the 1st test, 2nd test, and now the practice match. How many failures do you need Yuvraj to make before you realize that Yuvraj is just not a TEST player. He is really good in the ODI and TWENTY20 arena but that's as far as it goes. Link to comment
maggot_brain
Who cares, we're going to lose this match - badly. I'd say the margin will be at least 200 runs or 8 wickets. Link to comment

guju24
Rogers to make Test debut and Tait recalled India in Australia, 2007-08 Rogers to make Test debut and Tait recalled Cricinfo staff January 15, 2008 Chris Rogers will make his Test debut at his home ground the WACA in Perth, Australia's captain Ricky Ponting has confirmed. Shaun Tait will be recalled to the attack, as expected, with the team opting for four quick bowlers for the first time in 16 years. Rogers was the other front runner alongside Phil Jaques to replace Justin Langer as opener alongside Hayden once Langer retired at the beginning of 2007. An untimely appendix problem ruled Rogers out of contention for the Sri Lanka series, the first after Langer had gone, and Jaques quickly sealed his place with high scores. Now the pair will open together in one of Australia's most inexperienced Test opening pairs in years although both, in their thirties, have plenty of state experience under their belts. © Cricinfo Link to comment
