I've never heard anyone call an aging fast bowler who's lost his speed to be slow. These 'people' talking about Zaheer was never opposition batsmen, but commentators. So you can't use it as 'batsmen said they are fast but are actually slower'- coz batsmen never say 'this guy used to be fast but is slow now' about an active player. Read or heard it quite a few times. If i find a link, I will share with you. Rightarmfast 1

Akram had the ability to bowl fast spells and fast deliveries in a slower spell in his peak years. But, he was very often seeing bowling at a reduced pace and often bowled medium-fast spells. Imran once said to Gavaskar about Akram that this guy has the ability to bowl quick but he does not want to. That is the point being made here..... despite having the ability, Akram often chose not to bowl quick. A part-time quick bowler should be called fast-medium rather than fast. If you think amir is a trundler than you dont no nothing about fast bowling . He can easily hit 148-150 . Does so in t20s . Not so much in tests unless the bowl is reversing . As for wahab well why he is miles quicker than yadav . Yadav can dream of consistently hitting 91-92 mph in the UAE heat like he did against england in that match winning spell . Yadav and amir are skiddy but wahab definitely has more air speed. kira 1

Plenty of bowlers- fast or medium fast- can bowl 2-3 overs of fast spells in midst of a slower spell late in the day... There is no such thing as a 'part time quick bowler'. If a bowler chooses to bowl a bit slower to gain more swing or throws in few extra slower deliveries, it doesnt make him a part-time fast bowler. A fast bowler is one who can bowl fast at will. That is Akram. it doesnt matter that he didn't have to sometimes, what matters is till he got diabetes and screwed up his groin, he could bowl fast at will.

Pardon us if we cant take you seriously with that screen name "right arm fast". So this is what you are going to present as proof ?? There are about a dozen such "anecdotes" and articles about almost all pakistani fast bowlers bowling express in some obscure game . With wasim there musy be around 50 with a lot more validity than this one but i am not going to bother because wasim needs no introduction . Good luck convincing the world that srinath was anything more than a medium pacer. :) Who are these " nobody", might you give their screen names here, apart from the ignorant mugo and you? :) This is a classic reply of a loser who knows he has lost the battle, so what better technique than to rant and show the other person down using some words :) Its funny, but I know how you would be feeling. Knowing you have lost it and accepting that your so called legends were not everything they are attributed to, and especially now that the team is no more than trash, it should hurt you great bit to know how fragile your history has been:) Use some ice over.... wherever it burns :P express bowling 1

Its whether the bowler has an extra gear or not . Always judge bowlers under same conditions. Junaid khan was clocking 89-90 mph in india for fun and so were amir and wahab . For some odd reason bowlers also tend to clock quicker speeds in certain countries so always judge them under same conditions and in that scenario pakistani bowlers have always topped the speed charts .
