Passenger dragged from United Airlines flight, flight over booked

Forceful removal of the passenger from United Flight 3411, which was en route from Chicago to Louisville.

 

An older Asian doctor trying to return home to his patients was dragged across the aisle by his hands from an overbooked United Airlines flight.

 

Fellow passenger who goes by @JayseDavid on Twitter, wrote: "No one volunteered (to leave), so @United decided to choose for us. They chose an older Asian doctor and his wife."

 

The passenger screams as he is dragged on his back by his hands, glasses askew and shirt pulled up above his navel.

 

His face was slammed against an arm rest, causing his mouth to bleed. He was knocked out, because he went limp and quiet and they dragged him out of the plane like a rag doll.

 

Asian returned to the cabin, running to the back of the plane and repeated: "I have to go home, I am a doctor, my patients are waiting for me."

For a change, this airline deserves passengers such as Gaekwad

Those guys who dragged him out didnt even look like they worked for the airlines. Probably those guys that work in cargo outside the plane. Usually when the flight is overbooked, it is settled at the gate itself. They ask for volunteers to take a voucher and go on a later flight. The fact that it came to something like this leaves a lot of questions to be asked. Either those agents at the gate are incompetent or there may have been a misunderstanding. No way you can assault someone like that.

 

P.S. I am flying in United Airlines and I have a layover in Chicago on Friday. Let's see

Maybe the guy was on a standby list and they only can board the plane after everyone boards and if there are any seats left because some people didnt show up at the gate on time.

Unfortunately, when one buys airplane tickets, they do so agreeing that they can be removed by the airline when the flight is overbooked. That being said, how did they let the doctor get on board the plane in the first place. That has to be handled at the gate. Very unprofessional by United Airlines.
