Match 1 : JIMMY CLIFF vs SOURAB10FOREVER  ( @Jimmy Cliff   vs @sourab10forever )

VENUE : GABBA - BRISBANE ,AUSTRALIA

Situated in the Brisbane suburb of Woolloongabba - it's shortened to The Gabba, is considered to be the truest wicket available in Australia. It generally offers healthy bounce and carry to the quicks while the stroke-makers thrive on the consistent bounce available. The image of the deciding run-out in the tied Test of 1960-61, between Australia and West Indies, is one of the best known cricketing images of all time. In more recent times it has become a favourite haunt of Shane Warne, with the extra bounce from the often excellent wickets helping his legspin.

reason for vote : jimmy good bowling lineup for brisbane.

I want to play this game. let me know how. @moderators

Fair enough.

But I have Steyn Mallinga(Two of the greatest fast bowlers of this generation) Srinath Watson and Ganguly for part time.

Anyways..

This perticular draft is now closed. If all goes well we will have many such drafts in the future. Keep an eye out.

This is a tough one actually. Both the teams look quiet evenly matched.

Batting - Jimmy - He has strong batting line up. Difficult to beat.

Bowling - Saurabh - I feel Jimmy could be a bowler short, plus he doesn have very good part timer either who can back up incase someone goes for beating. Saurabh has modern greats who has knack of picking wickets and even though Jimmy's batting is powerful, surely they will succumb sooner or later.

Fielding - Equal - Both side have some excellent fielders and than some passengers. I feel both are equally bad. :phehe:

Captain - Jimmy - Clive Lloyd is definitely better than Ganguly.

Overall - Saurabh wins this in a close encounter.

In your review, you say Jimmy beats Saurabh 2.5-1.5, yet Saurabh wins? Any reasons? Liking the reviews, though.

You are right I forgot to mention...

Out of batting, bowling n fielding, I choose Saurabh bcos of strong bowling which IMO can win you games...especially in Gabba

Also I gave less emphasis to captaincy because...Ganguly can be good in his own right and can hold against Lloyd even though Lloyd being better captain as per records. If Saurabh's captain was Kohli or Sanga, I wud have gone with Jimmy because than captaincy could have affected the result more.
