what ricky ponting need is to tell symonds to bowl spin rather then bowling seam.. 4 seamers alredy.. why try symonds to bowl pace to.. improve the bloody overrate by using part timers as spinners

Ponting's got Symonds on to bowl spinners to probably up the over rate. Dravid and Laxman should take him on here.. He's not getting any spin, not sure about the drift yet.

yeah, just like the indian team was slow in 2 nd test.....nothing done. but of course it was the umpires fault you chose to bowl slow, ishant brought out to right handed gloves etc....

Shocking overrate by Aussies is when they finish the quota in time ....

one instance that slowed the game up when aus were bowling didnt u even watch the game even with the extra time aussies couldnt complete the overs

The decision to play with four quick bowlers in Perth was Australia's and so was the onus to keep it moving. They were found shockingly lacking. They bowled 12 overs in each of the first two hours, 13 in the third, 14 in the fourth, and the second new ball wasn't due until after ten minutes of the scheduled close of play. That is an unacceptable breach of playing conditions.

Something ought to be done about the slow over-rates. Fines have just not worked. Ian Chappell advocates banning the captain but there might be a even better deterrent. Hit them where it hurts the most by docking them for runs.

Is it because it is the aussies who are guilty of slow over rate this time?
