Cricketics
as per this match is concerned, Haydenz absence seemz to be a big loss for the aussies.. alwayz handy against India.. and while chasing in 4th innings, they would certainly miss hayden who could score runz with good run rate against Indian bowling attack.. and he also has been in brilliant form off late.. now with this academics specialist look of C. Rogerz and thode din ka mahman in aus team (Phil Jaques), aus opening order seemz to look weak ponting should perhapz stand near the boundary fence, as his chance could come anytime Link to comment
Rajiv
I agree, his opening stand could hve demoralized us but he we lost zaheer khan too Link to comment
Desi Cartman
I am so happy that hussey is coming back to DHARTI Link to comment
arkay
Hayden has certainly been India's nightmare. We have seen much of Jacques and Rodgers. But I think they will be under pressure. The guys that dread most are Ponting, Hussey, Gilchrist & Brad Symonds. While Ponting & Hussey are capable of playing an anchor, Gilly and Symonds could intimidate our bowlers by being aggressive. Desi Cartman
How many aussie batsmen have actually played under pressure ... Their openers always take the pressure away and then ponting also scores a lot of runs but because of this the middle order is not used to playing under pressure ie clarke and Hussey .. For symonds that SOB has had enough luck on his side .. BossBhai , can we pls get stats on how the Aussies perform when they loose both their openers for less than 30-35 Link to comment
Cricketics
Punter is pretty good @ playing under pressure @ desi_downunder.. he has been doing this from past 4 seasonz.. his wicket would offcourse be crucial.. hope Someone can produce that Ishant sharma's magic delivery of first innings again to get punter early.. surely with bowler like kumble in team, India stand a chance @ waca a lot more then aussies if we go on to give a target of over 375 Link to comment
Desi Cartman
Punter is pretty good @ playing under pressure @ desi_downunder.. Sorry I wasnt clear I actually meant any 2 of the top 3 ... Ponting can play under pressure unless Bhajji is bowling to him :finger: Link to comment
MundaPakistani
Hayden would have struggled against Pathan. He doesn't like the swinging ball and the way Pathan was bowling in his first 4 or 5 overs i am quite sure that Hayden would not have been able to do much damage. Link to comment

MP I unfortunately was at couple of ODI when Ind toured Aus and I can remember Hayden walking down the pitch and hitting pathan straight so many times .... Link to comment
sandeep
fack hayden and the horse he rode in on. He wouldn't have done jack against this bowling performance. Link to comment

The Outsider
True Australia missed Hayden, but I also think Zaheer would have been a killer on this pitch in his current form. Link to comment
varun
True Australia missed Hayden' date=' but I also think Zaheer would have been a killer on this pitch in his current form.[/quote'] Doubt it. He would've gotten the batsmen to play and miss zillions of times without finding the edge :P Link to comment
Cricketics
Doubt it. He would've gotten the batsmen to play and miss zillions of times without finding the edge :P and then one which would have got edge, it would have passed through the gully and slip j.k yaa it was sad how zaheer had to leave from the tour.. but good to see that Young Ishant is bowling well in his absence Link to comment
