Texan
Yes, Bumrah deserves a chance at the Test level. I am saying this not just because of his LOI exploits, but the fact that he has a pretty good FC record too. He did really well last year in a crucial semi-final Ranji Trophy match for Gujarat. The thing I like about Bumrah is that he is always at the batsman in the sense that if they miss, he hits. He gets a high proportion of bowleds and LBWs as a result. Bumrah can also be used to dish out the short bowling strategy and his awkward angle can cause problems for batsmen. If Ishant can be given 80 odd Tests, surely Bumrah can be given a run of 8-10 Tests to see how effective he can be in that format. Shardul is another player I am interested in seeing in Tests.
