talksport Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 http://sports.in.msn.com/cricket/stories/article.aspx?cp-documentid=1219333 Left-arm pacer Ashish Nehra, who is recuperating from an ankle injury, have also been picked. Nehra has travelled with the Delhi team throughout the season and has been bowling at nets. The comeback trail is on....Hopefully he will be fit to play and might be in contention when Australia tour India

Cricketics Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 hmm why retire?? just because he has been an injury prone?? i hope nehra bowl well in ranji.. surely he might not be in the waiting list for the Indian team but u never know.. best of luck to him on this new start of his career.. where he would have to really fight hard to get into the Indian bowling line up unlike before..

Ram Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 How old is Nehra ? I forgot. 26 ? 27 ? He was a fine one-day bowler. Had his off days every now and then, but was mostly effective. Doubt if he would be able to make it back to the national team though. There are too many ahead of him, by a mile, in the race.
