fineleg
Let GG open and incase there are some early hiccups Tendu can come at #4 for stability. Otherwise with YS outta form, our middle order is shaky. Opinions? Link to comment
mhr123
They shouldn't change there batting order... otherwise we will not be sending +ve signals to Aussies Link to comment
Cricketics
Captain of the batting line up should lead from the front.. this middle order support is all b.s.. it's not that tendulkar is a andha-dhun slogger or a player who has a poor average HE SHOULD JUST OPEN.. BLOODY OPEN.. DAMN OPEN.. Link to comment
TheBoyPlunger
We have a long batting order. We are going to win this one :thrasher: Link to comment
fineleg
it's not that tendulkar is a andha-dhun slogger or a player who has a poor average He is not a slogger - hence he is capable of providing good support in middle order. Our middle order is looking very weak, we dont have experience, ofcourse YS has experience but he is outta form currently. Link to comment
Cricketics
why don't u think the other way around fineleg.. we need a good start too.. while chasing low totalz.. we really need good start.. if sehwag getz out cheaply.. India can be in trouble to.. so we need Tendulkar on top try to think the other way around.. Link to comment
fineleg
if sehwag getz out cheaply.. India can be in trouble to.. .. Yez, this situation u describe above is exactly why i'm saying Tendu shud be in middle order. If conditions favor quick bowling and Lee works up a fiery spell, then atleast Tendu will be in middle order to stabilize - rather than expose both our experienced and in-form batsmen at the top order right away. Do you see what I'm saying, Ticz? Link to comment
mhr123
we all have seen Yuvi / MSD are good finishers and thrive under pressure Link to comment
Cricketics
i am.. u r looking from an end.. that we need to build in the middle if brett le goez bezerk and pickz up wicketz.. i am seeing if brett lee goez on top early.. then India can be in trouble chasing down the total. so it sbetter tendulkar stay on top and don't give any chance to the aussies.. Holysmoke
Why would you mess with the best ODI opener the world has ever seen? Link to comment
King
Remember how NZ chased the England total yesterday ? India should just do that. Look at finishing the game by 35th over. The openers should go hard at the Aussies. Even if they are able to put 50 odd runs quickly enough the game will pretty much be won. In fact the game will be won in the first 15 overs. The rest probably will be a formality. Link to comment
mhr123
Ahan... remember if we finish this match before 35th over there is bonus point for the taking. remember aussies got a bonus point when they played against srilanka Link to comment
Gambit
This tripe tactic of sending SRT in the MO cost India two world cup campaigns('99 and '07). Link to comment
