Good! Unlike Dhoni/Pujara & Ishant earlier who seem to live in a bubble, this guy will be aware of his failures and weaknesses.

It is like these guys lives are completely controlled by the player management.

That's the major con of being a celebrity - the entirity of your life is controlled by your managers who are of course more interested in your capability in generating moolah and maintaining your fake image in front of media than your personal well-being.
Their social media accounts are too controlled by their PRs.

That said, I think it is too early to send Iyer in A Zoom Show-I don't know what will happen in future, but Iyer doesn't look like someone who is gonna excel in the international level and he is only in the fringe of Team India.
Granted - we know him from IPL, But at this point, the likes of Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill are popular and more recognised than him.
I know Bunty and Company are trying to build a fanbase for him-but at the same time, Iyer has yet to prove himself and give a solid performance with the bat on a consistent level.
This early hyping of players is gonna eventually lead to unnecessary discrimination against these players
Even the likes of Neymar , Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo only bagged endorsements after they performed significantly at the senior level.
Now Indian Cricket is trying to earmark some players as "Future Stars" for their own propagandas

This type of promotions put both weird pressure on these players to justify their hype and audiences too get turned off by the excessive hype that instead of feeling sympathy, they feel annoyance towards that players.

Even KL rahul had a bad reception after the ginormous media campaign his PR ran for him
He might be a good player, but loads of people don't like him for his cheesy attitude and also account in the natural reaction against anything that is being overpromoted - one failure and people try to bullshit on that/get a negative perception.
This overhyping before any significant performance worked for Kohli because the market for cricket was strong and in demand at that time-also this because we didn't have much social media at that time.
And he ruled as a youth icon brand ambassador because the Bollywood didn't have a bankable young star.
Now with Ranveer Singh establishing himself and Aloo /Varun Dhawan trying extra hard, it is a matter of time before Kohli disappears from the market.
The recent events too hasn't been conducive to his image.
