Trichromatic Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 1. 3rd test against WI 1997 http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/16104/scorecard/63747/west-indies-vs-india-3rd-test-india-tour-of-west-indies-1996-97 Lost while chasing 120. 1990s - 0 overseas wins and this was probably best chance for the team. Not only this would have given a test win in WI, but first series win in WI. 2. Matches in 1977 Aus series Depleted side, India had best chance to win the series in Aus. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/series/62300.html Lost matches by 16 runs, 2 wickets and 47 runs. 3. New Zealand tour 2014. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/series/667633.html Dropped catch of Mccullum by Kohli cost India a match and a chance to save the series which could have been huge relief for a team which was losing in all formats in SENA countries. 4. Adelaide test 2014. http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8525/scorecard/754737/australia-vs-india-1st-test-border-gavaskar-trophy-2014-15 Masterclass by Kohli and score of 299-5 meant India were looking good at this target on difficult 5th day pitch. Lost the match and series 2-0. One more series which could have been saved 1-1 during the dark period. 5. Losses to Zimbabwe 1998 and 2001 http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/15894/scorecard/63813/zimbabwe-vs-india-only-test-india-tour-of-zimbabwe-1998-99 http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/15534/scorecard/63935/zimbabwe-vs-india-2nd-test-india-tour-of-zimbabwe-2001 Zimbabwe was decent team back then, but those were poor performances 6. Series loss in Aus 2008 Indians really believe they had upper hand in that series and that was probably 2nd best chance to win there. Will add first test of this series once the series is over.

Barbados one was heartbreaking back then even the one we lost in Auckland by 39 runs in 2014 was disappointing.
