Let steve waugh or Clive Lloyd captain these spineless batsmen and we will see what kind of results they will get.Brearley is most overated captain.

They will identity players n who they think will fight it out and back them. That needs a clear thinking by captain & Coach.

Look at AUS history and how Border & Simpson built thier team with new players who showed geat grit later on

They did identify Rahul, Bumrah,Pandya and Pant and backed them. What else do you want.Other than Bumrah nobody has done any thing.Rahane's main selling point was he would do well overseas he has stunk and Pujara even after playing seasons in county cricket has still struggled to score.

With so many non performers how can any captain win.

Give the same Indian team to Steve Waugh ( who I do not think was autharitarian) and Clive lloyd and see how they choke.

Give this Indian team to Imran Khan, and see how he would turn Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, Shami, bhuvi as world's best fast bowlers.

Thats the great thing about great leaders. They do not need to control the show. They do not hog limelight. They bring people together and are ready to take the first hit on their chest when the situation demands, and save the rest of the team.

Thats what was great about Imran. He let Wasim and Waqar hog the limelight. He tried to position Inzy as the best batsman. All this to build a great team.

Bob Willis was criticizing Kohli's captaincy, that under him the players were not able to perform to the best of their abilities. He was also criticizing his team selections.

I know. And he is not wrong at all. Kohli is not a peoples person. He doesnt know how to connect to people. Also, he is aggressive and arrogant. He dictates people so players are not sure what to do. They are not being themself. For the sake of Indian cricket, Kohli should be removed from captaincy and ravi shastri should be kicked out.
