Doesn't Vijay deserve one final chance in his most suitable nation?

Dhwan is useless in test ,but Vijay is massive overrated.he had 2 year purple patch.

it is not about purple patch .... it is that in general batsmen have this tendency  to play well against or in some countries  comparatively far better. For instance Laxman in & against AUS,  Sehwag in AUS, Sourav in ENG,   Chandepaul against India etc etc

that type of explanation would work when batsmen are in prime form (or playing on flat pitches where batsmen have opportunity to fight it out) .... not based on 4-5 years old records :winky:

Vijay has  more or less the same avg: in last 2 years .And 6 of his 12 100s were scored in this time period too. Then what is the problem?

that is less than 40 so he is not a long term option if he cannot perform consistently .... but if he is in good form currently as seen in county, he can be an option esp. w/ Rahul struggling. But since Agarwal is in the squad now, he is likely to get a shot (and that is a good option too)

PS may be play Vijay, Rahul and Agarwal in practise games to see who can partner Shaw :dontknow:

he is not at all a long term option, but just for the AUS series only. 2 rookies for such an important series is taking such a big risk.
