It is a disgrace KL Rahul hasn't been given a continuous run at number 4 since 2015-16

Shankar so far has performed much better than Rahul in lesser chances. A better batting average by few runs and a massive upgrade in ODI strike rate.

 

As such, Rahul is bound to get far lesser chances now, considering that Shankar has comprehensively outbatted Rahul in ODI format.

Personally I am not sold on Rahul ,It looks like TM is also having same view.Check his list A stats too. As a new comer you can expect long rope in one format which Rahul got in tests and he stunk historically bad. If he does not come good straight away in other formats, he will be playing musical chairs. 

 

I have no problem in not giving him chances as he is still unknown.

Neither am I saying he is a sure shot success . The point is about how badly some of the players have been handled . if KL was not good enough we had years to find that out , it should not have been based on last match performance . Likewise for Pant and Shankar , these guys are always a failure away from being kicked out . Honestly I dont know if any of these guys are good , seen too little of them thanks to our TM

should be dropped from ODIs based on that
