Pakistan is on a decline but two decades is pushing it.. they were still a competitive side that gave us a stiff competition even in the 2011 WC. The Waqar, Wasim, Shoaib era was a league apart though.

Maybe. They have struggled to beat Zimbabwe and when Ajmal 45 degree chucker was called out their gig was over. The CT was a gift from India to them because of an inept team.

Yes. This could turnout to be a competitive world cup. Not sure if it is the most. We have 4-5 good teams who are within touching distance of each other.  (England, Australia, India and West Indies) and with NZ/BD being a good outside foil to the top 4.

That being said Asian sides (Pak/SL) have regressed badly and I don't think Afghan can do much now. SA have already lost twice they could find it difficult.

The real matches will be the top 4 teams playing against each other. I also would fancy NZ against England and Australia.

India vs England, Aus and WI would be downright fantastic.

Eng vs NZ and WI

Aus vs WI and Ashes foes.

These are some of the matches which would determine the fate of the WC. Can't wait.
