How about a Qualifier, Eliminator concept in WC ??

I really liked this round robin concept. It has rewarded the teams which have been consistent, and the cream have come up after some stutters. No upsets and shocks. I also feel that for a WC consisting of ten nations this method is affordable and viable. But it would have reached its full purpose if it had Qualifier and Eliminator. Giving the most consistent team two bites at the cherry. And it would have provided lot more incentives for the teams in the group stage to fight a lot harder. Views ??

Despite having KOs we have seen Aussies emerging champs for record 5 times

Qualifier, eliminator concept will only ensure Aussies take the cup home every damn time

Just kidding,but they get a sniff they make it count

Will never happen, Ego of ICC people will not let them copy anything from IPL

Best of 3 format for the SFs. 

 

Finals gets only one match. The team which rises to the occasion, takes the cup home.
