This is more depressing than India's loss

Morgan and Kane look so sane and mature compared to our immature ,fake ,hypocrite, overrated captain.

Overrated captain because he lost 1 game(which can happen to any side in ODIs), no matter India finished on top in league stage ? What mature, genuine, underrated fans we have.

It isn't just that, apparently England should only have gotten 5 runs from that overthrow according to the rules even when counting the overthrow boundary.

That was the umpire's fault and again if it had happened in the 20th over no one would have batted an eyelid.

A team with a non existent middle and lower order was the best ? England had the best balanced team with no such flaws. Appreciate the effort of winning the 4 big matches back to back unlike chokers from India.
India were hampered by Dhawan's injury .Middle order did all right when needed be it jadav vs Afg or Jadeja dhoni vs nz.India had themselves to blame for tactical selection errors.

I just dont get why so many Indians feel NZ deserved to win . Chasing on that pitch after losing early wickets in a WC final deserves a lot of credit , especially after seeing how India did against a same attack you should know it wasnt easy .

Only Eng was most likely to have chased this. Wonderful effort! .... If NZ were chasing, I am not sure even if they would have come close.

Imo England were extremely lucky to chase 240.
openers got exposed against swing and middle order collapsed.Butler was only one who played aggressively. We blame Dhoni but stokes did same thing just got lucky in the end.

Exactly. Everyone seems to concentrating on those overthrows , forgetting that England did a most of the hard work getting close to the target and probably deserved all the luck .

As I wrote somewhere - "That is not how the game works. The last ball was a full toss which Stokes could have hit for a 6. The only reason he played it along the ground was that it was not worth the risk of getting out. If that risk was required, the ball could have gone for a 6. From a different perspective, the 4 overthrows made Stokes take no risk, which in turn helped NZ to tie

The overthrow may have actually helped NZ to tie the game :dontknow:
