KLR

ODIs 37 vs pace and 24 vs spin

T20s 37 vs pace and 27 vs spin

Tests 23 vs pace and 56 vs spin ( damn it lyon )

2-1 in favor of me :yess:

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/422108.html?class=2;filter=advanced;orderby=default;template=results;type=batting;view=dismissal_summary

means a guy who can avg 56 against spin in test can play test

Now ODI- he hasnt played enough and most of it in his worse form and out 6 dismisaal 3 wud be against akila in that one series .... small sample

Now t20 27 is not bad in t20 considering u have to attack .

Even sehwag avg 23 against spinners in T20 and sehwag was the most destructive against spin. These are openers who will score heavy in PP

As i said above it shows white ball low avg not red ball which means he is attacking n getting out not defending , if defending was an issue he wud have worse avg in test.

As i explained - struggling is when u cant pick spinner....i still dont see how is he struggling to pick spinner...check the spinners that have dismissed him pierre, allen, mendis, prassana , silva , maxwell

all means he went to overattack n got out

reasons and more reasons ..

I am not saying that he is a poor player vs spin , but there is no way we can term him as a murderer of spin :((

In your boys case it got really worse ..

turning point was when he got hit by henrichh klassen ..

when batsmen start hittting him , he will start biting his shirt collar

klassen was dew interputed game let me knw which spinner does well with dew...ur saying as if players dont get beaten what about kuldeep who lost it after moeen ali bashing

Again u take any players career there wud be up n down remember rahane last 2 years, remember ishant many many years

There is dip in his form .

Chahal is at his best when ball starts drifting in the air towards middle & Leg and then either spins across or goes straight through.

+  he also starts bowling googlies regularly  -He is good.

These 2 things are not at the same level as earlier .

Now most of the time , option used by him is tossing it up out side of the off stump when attacked .

That's why there is case for checking some one else till Chahal gets  his MoJo back.

that was suppose to happen to both kulcha after initial success team will figure a plan out and thats where challenge of a young cricketer begins. Constant rotation n a lot of games being played in dew hasnt helped either.

Also now kohli wants someone who can bat

Midget will be at his absolute worst when there is a dew and batsmen start attacking him ..
it’s safe to assume if there will be a dew , we can count Chahal playing for the opposition .. :p:

Thats  where the mistake is done.  You need to have identified alternative . In pace department they have now got that . But not in spin

department  esp. for 50 overs .

When your spinner is out of form , found out , he needs to be taken out from playing X1 and ask him to work out the issues and try out someone   else .  Both the spinners are not at their best as of now . One is experimenting  to increase his speed of deliveries and other cannot produce his best  deliveries.

Time we rest Chahal and try out  Chahar/Gopal in 20s and try Gowtham in 50 overs and see how it turns out ?

Need atleast 2 ready options  besides Kulcha& Jaddu .

How can he have average of 23 versus pace and 56 versus spin in tests. His test  batting average is poor - just 36 runs per test innnings. Many players with that test averages in this era are termed as test flops. Think your stats are wrong.

Okay.

I correct my previous statement. Just realized Rahul averages 34.59 in tests and not 36 which I mentioned in previous post. He may have smashed Lyon but overall do you really think 34.59 is a good test average ? Players like Yuvraj who had test average of 34 are considered as great failures.

Even abdv had similar avg till that point. He surely had a big slump before that he was fine. He has played a lot outside as well. Also i dnt remember yuvi scoring 100s overseas rahul has 100 in aus , eng, wi....all it takes one bad year to mess ur stats and one good year to fix alll
