Top performers for India so far have been players who are only playing Tests

We are obviously far behind New Zealand in this Test match so it's not much of an achievement, but it's interesting that our top performers in this match so far, Agarwal, Rahane and Ishant Sharma, are those that play only Tests for India and not ODIs or T20Is.

Maybe it's not the wisest choice for a player who plays well in white ball cricket to be picked for red ball cricket and vice versa, and instead have players only focused on one format. I say that even for T20I teams which should be separate from ODI teams.

At least the Test team is almost like that already... 6 of the top 8 today play only Tests.. Only Shaw and Kohli play ODIs.. Pant is almost out of the ODI squad.. The other 5 play Tests only...

Agarwal was a stop gap ODI trial player.. isn't even close to being first choice in the format

I think Shaw, Agarwal, pant, Bumrah and Shami should be kept solely for Test matches. Send Bumrah and the batsmen to play a season of county and then see the transformation in them.

ashwin and pujara are still duds after playing county.

Ashwin has always been way too overrated for my liking, he's dog shite away from home now especially considering his batting has gone below Saha's level & don't get me even started about seeing him chase a ball :hysterical:

I think they should put a picture of sambhar and rasam on the ball and then watch him sprint for it as if his life depends on it.

Barring Eng 4th test when he was obviously injured he has done well in SENA in this cycle. Gave the match to our batsmen on a platter in Edgabston and Centurion, latter test which saw 10 drops, 5 off his bowling.

Refrain. Cricket thread, can always talk about food in chit-chat. Don't really talk about dhokla/Gujju or jhal muri when talking about Saha, do we?
