You don't really need to be an entrepreneur to be successful in life we should focus on quality of education be it engineering, medical or any field should be more research based and practical and pretty much inline with the world demands. We can develop our own niche in service sector than copying others where already there pre established competitors are such as manufacturing,warfare ,aircraft or pharma . I am not saying we should stop seeing opportunities there but we should try to focus and flourish in the area where we already have a platform. Take an example of Singapore just on the basis of their education and catring to the world demand they are a devloped nation. Realistically speaking - for this to happen, you need other countries to ban, or at the very least, reduce immigration from india.

With the increase in salaries in India and many companies opening their delivery and data centre here I see the number lessening at least in IT. I myself was never intrested in permanently settling down abroad. I travelled quite a few time but never had any interest in settling there. One of the reason was Indian salaries itself was good enough to leave happy life (if not very luxurious)here with my near and dear one's in our own beloved country. Edited June 21, 2020 by raki05

The days of 'brain drain' are slowly coming to an end. I still don't understand what an H1B does in america that he can't do at an office in india? raki05 1

And believe me Not every indian abroad are some kind of genius there....I have encountered few people who were pretty average and I am not even sure how they reached there.

That's what i was thinking as well. Earlier, immigrants - or actually, the right word is probably emigrants - from india, were of the upper class. very well educated, wealthy, etc. Today's indian worker is from a small town in andhra pradesh, sharing a tiny room with 5 other men in an old house. I'm not sure what these people do that's so special. Probably just cheap labor for american tech companies. you make more money than you would in india, but the cost of living is also higher, so how much do you really save? It's brutal, a Chinese student I know at the uni did his thesis on thermal management of a heat sink in a laptop, he hasn't got a job yet.
