^ With Amla in there, I am not sure if it strengthens or weakens, Rohit numbers vs. Sachin's.

Yes, based on form, approach, and the qualities I want in my team. This thread is based on cricinfo's analysis though which has not broken down the numbers further (unless one feels Amla is among the top 3 based on it)

Comparsion

Sachin was a better starter

Rohit most desturctive towards 3rd 4th phase

 

Sachin technically more sound so ull put ur money more on him against tough attacks 

 

Both have scored in Wcs now 

 

In terms of running between wkts sachin was better.

Fitness required for long innings rohit is better as he can hit the ball as well till last ball of 50th over.

 

Not much to choose which is a huge compliment for rohit.
