TVs being switched off the moment he got out in ODI chases.. the craze.. being the best player in the team by miles from 90s..  weight of the nation on his shoulders.. remember him telling about that centurion 2003 game.. people reminding him to win that match an year before the actual match.. 

Now contrast that with the other players of his era and current era.. sure they would be under pressure to perform but the criticism levels and public anger is no way near to ours... if steve smith walks in some busy street in sydney.. probably few aussies might say hi / some might take a selfie.. basically the pressure to excel is mostly personal / team goal for them.. for sachin it was 1 billion hearts pumping for his success

Didn't know about that. That is some pressure but when you enter the field, its your preparation that counts. If you are not prepared for say slip catches or leg spin bowling, it doesn't matter what the pressure is you will end up dropping them and smile like thigh slapper or muscles chahal.

Back to topic, I'm assuming Sachin will carry the same skillset against pace and spin and not flop against spin like most aussies except Waugh brothers, Clarke and Smith. Lets say he played for sydney and is accustomed to turning tracks. With that assumption this is what he would have achieved

Australian sports psychology is built on mental strength and only the strong survive. Either he would come out stronger after the toughening up period or would be playing shield cricket like Love and Maher. Hayden and Martyn were in that category where they ran into Ambrose and the WI in Hayden's case and Donald and co in Martyn's case. Lets say he has what it takes to be mentally strong in that environment. Also the administrators think that he is a wunderkid and needs all the psychological help he needs and hire a mental coach if the need arises. He makes his debut in 18 and goes back and forth and cements his spot at 21-22 like Ponting.

Australian setup is putting the best bat to bat at no.3 whether it be tests or ODIs. So he won't have the luxury of picking his spot like he did in India. Its more of what the team needs than what you are "comfortable" with. They put the newbie at no.6 (usually faces 2nd new ball) and then settles in 3 just like Ponting. I put Sachin ahead of Ponting when it comes to actual talent and less weaknesses like spin. So Sachin would play at 3 and Ponting would play at 4. It would be a nightmare for the opposition

The australian idea of No.3 in the team is to have a solid bat batting if an early wicket falls and also to counterattack and put pressure on the opponent. If the openers are going great guns, then no.3 can attack from the get go and look for a big score. Same thing applies in ODIs where 3 keeps the momentum and has to increase his scoring rate as the game progresses. The way he scored the 100th 100 would not fly with the australian selectors. There would be less chances of him scoring 100s at the expense of the team

Emotional blackmail that he did against Dravid for the 194 declaration would be avoided. If say Waugh or Ponting was captain, he would be told to tow the team's line and stop whining. Aussies don't like people who whine. He would be a pariah if he does that. 

He would not have played till 40 like he did in India and gave him a 200 test at his home ground. Ponting had to announce his ODI retirement in the middle of the CB series in a season they dominated. No farewell for you. His test retirement was also forced after that ugly dismissal getting out bowled by Kallis. And mind you Ponting and Steve waugh (tests only) are the only ones to play longer and they are legends but still got unceremoniously asked to retire by the management

Performance - if he plays poorly for a season, he would be dropped for a while and asked to get back to shield cricket and if he is over 35, he would be asked to quit. Even the great Warne was dropped after a poor season and magill was played.

So all in all he would have less centuries but be a more useful and dangerous one drop batter in the world. He would have more impact than Ponting even though his stats may not be that good. He wouldn't have played this long and due to his rough patch in 2007, he could have been dropped and given him one last chance to prove himself. He would be dropped from the ODI team after 2007 but his 2010 form could have brought him in. He would have played tests until 2011 and be asked to retire after that woeful England series. his strike rate would be even higher in ODIs

Your information is biased and totally wrong. India toured Aus at the end of 2011/2012 and these are pointing scores.

 

62,60,134,7,221,60 for all 4 Test matches. I rather take this. He retired at the end of 2012. So kindly keep your Mr.Ailiaaa bajana to yourself. 

 

Guy doesn't have a single 250 in Test cricket. You want us to believe he the best player ever. Atleast pointing has a 250+

 

Pointing has a highest score of 140* in WC finals prob more than Sachin has in all finals combined 

 

Let's not even talk about captaincy. It was proved sachin was a dud when it gets to captaincy and we are comparing him to 3 time WC winner here.

hope you don't have comprehension issues.  Firstly Sachin's  average by 20 years of age was not 40  but almost 45 with an even more impressive 42.5 in SENA..... my mistake.Going by this performance,  even if he debuted for AUS/ENG  at 16 , he would have maintained these sort of  high level performances and kicked off from there for  higher level performances.....that's what I meant.
