Please advise: what are the BCCI criteria’s for selection in T20 team and why selection announced 2 weeks before the IPL Finishes?

Is it something like “finish off the assignments so that we can relax & enjoy the IPL Final stage”?

 

Or is it, “finish off the selection process as you never know when Captain Kohli will exit the IPL and then won’t be available”.

 

Or is it, “select early those who are quota players as the more you delay these things, public will demand to select better performing newcomers and spoil our fun”...
