On batsmen who can bowl: Can Vihari be an ODI option

The desperation for a batsman who can bowl a bit brings him to mind And we know he is technically a good batsman.

Average of 45 in List A. Issue is with the SR of 82. Too sedate in a line up that already has "accumulators" . Only place for him is in at 4 instead of Iyer.

Of course others are Shankar and Rana

Rana should be front runner but where will you play him?  Then there is Surya & Kishan who are better than him.

One dimensional batting line up means we need complete change in strategy & line up as well.

Neither Rohit Shikhar KL Kohli bowl..  Iyer bowls leg spin but is never tried so far.  With Hardik not bowling issues are doubled.

I think India will struggle in ODIs vs Top teams going forward...  Unless some drastic changes are not done.

Kedar Jadhav didn't bowl either before he was tried. If they want to make a part-timer out of someone, they can try and do it from among those already in the team before looking elsewhere.

Let's see maybe they'll try that in next game.  Even if Iyer bowls it Marnus lubuschagne level..  He'll turn out to be asset.
