Vk1 Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 Its time the broadcasters / commentators talk repeatedly about performance of players against top 4 teams in tests.. seperate the home vs away ( SENA for India ) record.. dont show us meaningless stats padding against other teams.. gulf is too huge.. except for West Indies which somehow finds mojo to beat England at times, rest of the bottom rung teams cant even compete against top 4/5 teams.. SENA performance should be regarded higher than normal stats. Prithvi Shaw probably would not have opened if the emphasis was on SENA performance.
Majestic Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 SENA averages for current Indian batsman:- Kohli 46 Rahane 36 Pujara 34 Mayank 35 Pant 35 Rohit 25 Jadeja 28 Rahul 22 Vihari 21 Shaw 17 Saha 13 These stats are true indicators of mediocrity in our batting lineup overseas. We need to fix this because unless we beat two or three of the SENA teams away, we cant be a truly great team.
